Ahhh,,,what to post? what to post? It's up to YOU!

Since being voted in as one of the Top 25 Creative Mom Blogs (thanks to YOU, and hurray for ME) so much has happened! It's been a whirlwind! I've been on Letterman, the Daily Show, and Judd Apatow is asking me to play a role in his next buddy movie!

Just kidding.

What has happened?
My digital camera broke, leaving me with my poor 13 year old's somewhat inferior camera.
I taught several more classes, some successfully, some less so.
My teenager won the New Jersey GreenFest Environmental Award for students K-8.
My dog ate a squirrel foot. I know. I had to yank it from his mouth. Shudder.

So what to post?

The most frequent request will be granted!

Here are your choices:

1. The quite lovely Hamsa project produced by my wonderful Middle School group.
2. The disastrous Terra Cotta Warriors my very gifted Elementary School group created. Clay. It was all about the bad clay. Sigh.
3. Fabulous cities my PreK group worked on today.
4. Squirrel Feet

Again, make a comment with your number requested and I will produce a wonderful blog post in your honor.

  1. I'm on the fence between choices two and three. Terra Cotta Warriors are awesome, but I really want to know what makes the cities fabulous?

  2. Well, sadly the terra cotta warriors were made out of a new clay I purchased at the not-so-reliable local art supply shop. I won't say any more because I want to leave a little sense of mystery. But the end result wasn't pretty. So you have to pick between a successful project and one that...well...tanked. Although it was kind of funny.
Pretty or pretty funny. The choice is yours! :-)

  3. Why do I have to decide? Get to work writing all of them! Too much bike riding...

  4. I'm going to go with door number 3!!! What do I win? I'm on a new kick where I'm not going to suck at being a stay-at-home mom. Well...not suck as much. And by that, I mean, I'm going to do more with my almost 4 year old son. He likes TV, I like resting on the couch, but something's got to change. In other words, any pre-K art ideas are very welcome!

  6. Hmmm...I was afraid you might want the squirrel feet. Unfortunately I took no pictures. Just a scream and a quick fling of the offensive foot. Although ON a live squirrel I'm sure squirrel feet are darned cute. But I can't think of much to say on the subject.

So Phyl, I hate to disappoint you but I think I'll blog about both the disastrous clay event as well as the cities. And I'll have to leave the squirrel feet to your imagination!

    1. Thank goodness you didn't take pics. I would feel really guilty if my tongue-in-cheek response meant all of cyberspace would be stuck looking at partly eaten rodent appendages!!
